Les Artigaux is a private estate extending over five hectares. Set well away from the road, the barn and apartments are surrounded by lawns, gardens and woodland. Only birdsong and cowbells are likely to disturb the peace and tranquility of your holiday.

Guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the entire estate (with the exception of the vegetable garden and the chicken enclosure, which are private). During spring and early summer, walk around the estate on a carpet of mountain flowers - including orchids - which grow wild on the lawns. During the winter, tour the snow-covered grounds on cross-country skis, do a bit of tobogganing or perhaps build a snowman.

La Grange has a games room attached to it, which is for the exclusive use of the occupants of La Grange. However, if La Grange is not occupied other guests are welcome to use the games room which has a pool table, table tennis, table football and darts. There is an interesting selection of games, books and DVDs to borrow.

Outdoor facilities and activities include a set of swings, a football net (for children), a badminton net and there is a table tennis table outside the apartments. Badminton and table tennis equipment and boules are available to borrow - and toboggans can be borrowed in the winter.

Les Artigaux has a hot tub and sauna for guests to use during their stay.

The Størvatt hot tub is made of cedar and is heated by a wood-burning stove. The cedar gives off a natural perfume, which enhances the relaxing experience of soaking in the warm water whilst admiring the views of the surrounding mountains. The water in the tub is heated to a temperature of around 40°C, making it suitable for use in all weathers - even snow! In fact guests have been know to roll in the snow after getting out of the hot tub, but it is not obligatory. It is probably more appealing to relax in the tub with a glass (plastic of course) of wine or beer.

Our traditional-style sauna is made from top-quality Finnish spruce, with beautifully smooth aspen benches. A powerful electric stove heats the sauna up quickly and efficiently - and adjacent to the sauna is a changing area, a shower room and a toilet.

After a day of walking, cycling or skiing in the mountains, come back to Les Artigaux for a soak in the hot tub to ease those aching muscles – or just relax in the sauna and admire the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains from the sauna’s window.
